$5 Campaign for Kids Scholarships

The Youth Personal & Business Development Program (YPBD) is a youth entrepreneurship program serving Houston and surrounding areas to provide life skill workshops to at risk high school students. We are running a $5 min. donation campaign to help raise scholarships funds for several underprivileged students in our program. YPBD provides personal development & business development by teaching sixteen topics such as credit, finance, goal setting, self-motivation, and more. These workshops are taught by business professionals such as motivational speakers, business coaches, and successful entrepreneurs that donate their time to teach these students. Our students are provided with healthy meals after every workshop and most take meals home. The program also takes the students on  fun & educational outings such as bowling, college tours, etc.  Our mission is to help adolescents think and grow richly by building their character, encouraging entrepreneurship, and promoting community development to conquer poverty. The college tour this year was Texas A & M and several students are interested in attending college but need assistance with funding. These students live in a low income enviroment and resources are limited. YPBD will provide several students with scholarships for college and mentor a few who would like to start a business with your help. It's time to share knowledge and show our youth the importance of being accountable so they will not grow up depending on government assistance and continuing to live in poverty. The students graduate June 2nd and we would like to surprise the students by presenting the scholarships at their graduation. YPBD has been a great foundation for the students and providing these scholarships will show them we care about their education and future.
