The Skyline View goes to JACC

Hi, we are The Skyline View, the student-run newspaper for Skyline College in San Bruno, California.
We are involved with the Journalism Association of Community Colleges, which is an organization dedicated to the education and support of journalism programs throughout California. Each semester, the JACC holds a conference where journalism students can attend workshops and meet other journalists. These workshops, which are led by professionals, act as additional training for staff members to improve their journalistic skills, and gives students the opportunity to generate new ideas for our own papers.
Next month, the JACC conference is in Burbank, CA, and we need help raising funds for transportation and hotel rooms. Although we are trying to be as cost-efficient as possible, the expenses are still too steep for twenty students.
This three-day conference will not only help us learn more, but it will give us skills to provide a better newspaper for Skyline, and any awards won will give Skyline College more exposure.
The money donated will help us with costs to get to the JACC conference, stay in a hotel, and any funds we don't use for our trip will be used towards costs for our paper.
We appreciate any help, as the JACC conference will expose us to more training and help us network and create relationships with other journalists.
