Help us fix The Schooner Pursuit
We need help raising the money to completely fix the Pursuit. It's not an inexpensive, or quick project, and EVERY BIT HELPS!
WHAT IS THE PURSUIT?
She's a 65' Wood built Gaff Rigged Twin Mast Schooner that was built in 1978. We're turning her into a 1770's era Privateer Schooner & turning her into a functioning Living History Museum that also provides Charters & Historic Themed events along the Delaware River Basin.
SHORT TERM GOALS:
August Storage: $762 Goal - $510 Donated as of 7/19
July Storage: $762 - REACHED
We got the word that to get the Pursuit moved to the refit site some work would need to be done on her, here's the breakdown of what that will cost...
Minor repairs to hull: $4,000
Taking down the Masts: $4,000
Putting her in the water: $1,000
Towing her to refit site: $5,000
Misc S&H of Eng. etc...: $6,000
Misc repair issues: $5,000
Total of start: $25,000
*Misc S&H includes shipping of already purchased Lumber and equipment along with engine via land to refit site.
** Misc repair issues - She's a wooden ship 38 yrs old. She's bound to have some unforseen issues arise when we start repairing her.
That's what we need JUST TO START the project.
From Start to Finish this project will cost us $250,000 by the time all is said and done. However, we are splitting up the fundraising by projectsthat need to be done to make it all more managable!
We've already put $60,000 of our own money into this project before we asked for help.
Please help us with our dream!
