Therapy Workshop for PTSD Veteran

My partner Karl Griffiths is an Army Veteran who suffers with chronic PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), severe anxiety and depression. He served 10 years in the RAMC as a frontline medic, 3 tours of Iraq, and as such was always first on scene and has seen some horrific things that have permanently scarred him for life. Since leaving the army he has struggled to maintain a day to day routine and as such he has had 3 jobs but hes been unable to stay in employment or maintain a positive mental attitude. His PTSD effectively cuts him off from the world and he struggles to deal with day to day life. Over the last 3 years we have erected a 10 man tent and successfully managed to stock it with tools and materials. This he has been using on a daily basis as a therapy workshop, which he was advised to do by Combat Stress. On 2/7/2017 his tent was vandalised. The culprit slashed his tent beyond repair, tossed all his tool, destroyed current projects, etc, causing nearly £1000 worth of damages. This not only affects him physically but also mentally and he now has no drive to work towards a better future, all because somebody felt good destroying soemthing that wasnt theirs. We have informed the police who are doing all they can, as well as the Derby Telegraph running a story in the local paper today and online. We initially didn't want to do a go fund me page as we are very proud people who have worked hard for all we have got BUT we now find ourselves desperately scrabbling around trying to find the money to build another workshop for Karl that will be more secure and long lasting. Many people have offered to help so therefore this page was opened.
