And to make things EVEN BETTER, The PopCulturists are teaming up with a GenU to make something amazing happen. During the stream the team are hoping to raise money to help them add a new program to their Applied Gaming Mental Health Program, Applied Video Gaming!

GenU is an organisation, based in Geelong, which provides mental health, disability, employment and aged care services throughout Australia.

18 months ago the team at GenU created the Applied Gaming program for young people coping with mental health challenges. The program uses the power of role-playing games and board games to aid participants develop social and communication skills, as well as provide tools to help individuals with their recovery journeys.

Upon the brilliant success of this program, GenU is looking to expand this program into a new realm, the digital realm to be exact, with the Applied Video Game Program. Leveraging the same principles used in the original program, GenU are looking forward to assisting a wider audience of young people.

As mental health awareness and care is something that we support as a company, and as individuals, we wanted to assist and raise some money to help make this new program a success.

Come 2nd of June, clear that schedule and huddle around your device of choice and join The PopCulturists as they zoom around in Mario Kart 8 Deulxe, hit home runs in MLB The Show, push boundaries with Cards Against Humanity, and many more. And while you are there help support some amazing local people do amazing work with the power of video games.
