THE LADY GAGARINS - MONGOL RALLY

Hello!
We are Rosa, Jakob and Ignacio. We are The Lady Gagarins, a team participating in the Mongol Rally 2017. We will drive in a quite unsuitable car 20.000km for charity. From Berlin, Germany to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, then up to Ulan Ude, Russia and then drive back home.
Besides enjoying the cultural diversities of the cities and places we would be visiting, the main goal of our adventure is raising money for the non-governmental organizations Cool Earth, who fights climate change, and Handicap International, who fights the barriers people with disabilities face all over the world.
We take off on the 18th July, and return in September. We will take donations up til the end of September.
Our goal is to raise £1000 for our selected organisations.
Donations will be split equally to these both charities:
1. Cool Earth is a charity that works alongside indigenous villages to halt rainforest destruction.
2. Handicap International tries to eliminate the injustices people with disabilities face all over the world.
We intend to donate £1000, if we can raise a higher sum, we will split it in between car preparations and Handicap International. But our intention is to keep our cars caracter since this is an adventure and who needs AC?
Due the good technical condition of the car, the posibilities of improvement are low, so all further donations can go to Handicap International.
We are proud that through these organisations our foolisch trip has a global impact for the better.
Due to our crappy Russian and Uzbeki skills we want to make up for them by inviting our new friends for a cup of tea. We believe that kettles of hot tea have the power to make out of our journey an even more adventurous time for us and the new friends we’ll make.
