It's time to meet Aliza.  We both hope that your kind contributions will allow our dreams to come true.  Every donation will go towards funding the faculty of The Kindest School, and provide scholarship opportunities to our first 100 learners, and any underprivileged students for any money that exceeds our goal of providing our students with an opportunity to earn an accredited diploma from a private, American International School.

My name is Aliza.  I am a trilingual, 15 year old Pakistani-born girl who has been living in Thailand with my family since July, 2012.

I have always been very passionate about my education, and it has always been my top priority.  For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to be a doctor. Dedicating my life to improving and saving the lives of others is very appealing to me.  This life is only possible for me if I can become a doctor, and for that I need to get into good schools and get the best education possible.

Recently, my father suggested that I contact Brian Tupper, the Founder of the Kindest School (and my father's friend for many years.)  After discussing my goals with him, he provided me with a personal learning program to guide me on my path towards medical school.  After reading it, I was very excited and wanted to know how I could join The Kindest School and when I could start!

I believe The Kindest School is the best educational opportunity for me to be able to live my best life.  I think this program will offer me valuable skills that are not taught in my school, and Mr. Tupper has already helped me find two medical centers near my home that I will be able to volunteer my time at.  Service is a requirement at The Kindest School.

For as long as I have been in school, I have always received good grades, I’ve never skipped a class, and I have always been trying to find ways to help me to learn more about medicine.  I want to use my capabilities to work hard and help others, and I think The Kindest School can help me with that.

My goal is to study medicine in the UK when I graduate from The Kindest School.  They are helping me by crowdfunding my scholarship as part of their Global Citizenship Program, which helps students from around the world to “Migrate with Kindness.”  A year’s tuition for me at The Kindest School is $1,000 USD.

I really hope you can help sponsor my education and any other student who wants to join me at The Kindest School.  I hope you can help me live my best life.

Thank you for reading.

Less than a week after opening our application process, The Kindest School has enrolled their first student.  What makes Aliza's enrollment so special, is that she not only is the first student at TKS, but her goals helped to start our new Global Citizenship Program, delivered by The Kindest School.

As an educator, I first learned about merit-based immigration while creating this lesson on Climate Refugees , which is part of The Kindest School's very own social-emotional learning program, Kindest Generation.  It wasn't until after speaking with Aliza, and her goal of attending medical school in the UK, along with the President of the United State's new proposal on immigration, that I began to research more into it.

Most merit-based immigration policies around the world focus on bringing in young, well educated people who have demonstrable skills and a desire to help others in their community.  By earning an accredited diploma from an American International School and developing an ePortfolio that showcases each learner's unique skill set, TKS will help build a bridge for those around the world seeking an opportunity to #MigrateWithKindness.

For all learners who wish to migrate to certain countries for academic, economic, or social reasons, we encourage you to read about our program and set up a meeting with one of our educators who can help create a personal learning program for you.

The Kindest School offers two other programs as well.  The Kindest Families program allows our learners to learn from home.

Our Dual Diploma Program best suites those learners that are happy attending public or private schools but would like the opportunity to earn a dual diploma -- one diploma from your current school and one diploma from The Kindest School, a private American International School.

We will be providing updates from Aliza in the coming days, and all our learners who are in need of financial assistance.  (You can read below to find out where all donations will go -- directly towards funding the faculty of The Kindest School)

On behalf of Aliza, The Kindest School, and all of our future students, I'd like to thank you for all your help in making a dream into a reality for so many through your acts of random kindness.

If you know anyone interested in joining the Kindest School, please fill out this application  and a member of our team will create a FREE personal learning program for each applicant, and set up a time to review it in the near future.  -- BMT

The Kindest School  is proud to announce that we will be opening our virtual doors to our private American International School on September 4, 2019.

Our revolutionary approach to learning comes at a time where most people around the world are calling for education reform.  The Kindest School, funded by the random acts of kindness of others, will put families and certified educators in charge of learning, not politicians or policy makers.

TKS opens at a time when millions of individuals are leaving educational institutions thousands of dollars in debt (Over 1.5 TRILLION dollars is owed, by former students, to the US Department of Education).  We aim to provide an affordable private education that places more of an emphasis on how we learn in the 21st century, and less of an emphasis on lecturing and testing.

As a private educational institution, The Kindest School will finally address the issue of bullying, an international epidemic.  Our policy is simple.  If you are found to bully and harass one of our students, we will report the bully/bullies to local authorities, and if they are students of TKS, they will be expelled from our school.  It's that simple.

The Kindest School will not use the antiquated system of grading and report cards.  If the college admission scandal taught us anything, it's how easily manipulated this outdated system of assessment has become.  Our learning will be project based, with families and educators agreeing on real world assessments to demonstrate their learning.  Our learners will create an online portfolio designed to demonstrate their 21st century skills and competencies, their growth mindset, and their service to others through volunteerism.  Online portfolios are essential when applying to prospective universities which have began to value them over traditional report cards and transcripts.  Portfolios are also great to demonstrate worth to potential employers, as many of the world's top companies are now recruiting directly out of high school.

One of the stigma's of learning from home has been that there is a lack of sociability.  The Kindest School addresses this issue, and helps build empathy in our students, by having ARK (Acts of Random Kindness) Days once a week.  Members of the Kindest Generation will take part in service learning projects in their community, and these experiences will also be documented in their learning portfolio.

Our team of learning facilitators will meet with parents and learners each month to review their independent learning, and decide what lies ahead on their academic journey.  With over 100,000 online courses to choose from, (we accept offline learning as well), the possibilities are endless.

TKS believes in leveling the playing field for all learners from all parts of the world, and are offering our tuition at just $1,000 per year (plus course costs) for all students.  Tuition pays for our educators who help give all students a chance to earn an an accredited diploma from a private American International School from anywhere in the world.

We look to start our scholarship fund for our first 100 students, and for those students in need of financial assistance, because for some around the world, even $1,000 a year is too steep of a price to pay.  Our crowd funding campaign will provide partial and full scholarships to our learners.  (As you may have seen in our update, we have started a Global Citizenship Program to help build a bridge for our learners who choose to "Migrate with Kindness.")

Finally, TKS was founded by Brian Tupper, an 18-year classroom teacher who has taught in American public schools in Florida, and was a 2-time Faculty Global Leader and International Teacher of the Year finalist at Korea International School, Jeju.  At a time when teachers are striking for a fair wage, it's time to address how teachers are paid.  The salary pay scale is outdated, as many times, it's the administrators and the oldest teachers who make the most money, not necessarily the most effective teachers.  It's impossible to pay a teacher per hour, because it's not in a teacher's DNA to clock in or clock out.  The Kindest School proudly offers our teachers a "pay-per-learner" compensation model.  Each student's tuition and costs are shared equally between TKS and the teacher, allowing our faculty to set their own hours, work from anywhere in the world, and make up to $80,000 annually, depending on how many students they wish to take under their care and leadership.

That's where GoFundMe comes in.  We will be offering our first 100 scholarship opportunities to learners who are willing to join The Kindest Revolution in education!  Everything over $100,000 will go towards a scholarship fund for underprivileged students.  Every dollar donated will go towards a teacher and a student.  TKS is crowd funding private education for those who choose to learn from home.

The Kindest School believes in affordable learning opportunities for ALL, and we strongly believe that there are more KIND people in the world than not, and we look to guide the Kindest Generation to achieve their personal goals.

TKS puts our main focus on learning, and less on teaching.  The vision of TKS is to give the Kindest Generation of learners a CHOICE in how, where and when they learn, and a VOICE in what they learn.

If you would like to learn more about how to apply for The Kindest School  , please sign up  to meet with one of our teachers who will help create a personal learning plan for you.

Anyone, from any country, who has a growth mindset, wants to help and serve others, and who want to have a voice in their education, can apply to join our learning community!
