PHASE 2 UPDATE:
Our most biggest obstacle right now is repairing or replacing the House of Esther boiler with winter just around the corner. Money raised will go toward this critical challenge.
*****************************************

We would like introduce you to The House of Esther project, a place for first time expected mothers between the ages of 18 through 25. Our key focus will be on continued education during and after pregnancy. The House of Esther’s program is one of its kinds in Genesee County.

We need your financial support as we are in the midst of our renovation. This is Phase 2 so we invite you to come and be a part of our beginnings. If you are interested and committed, we have begun our renovations on our common space rooms and this is where you come in!  Will you help us secure our new mothers and their unborn child by making a contribution?

If so, please send your generous contribution as soon as you possibly can. Every gift of $25, $50, $75, $100 or even $500 will put us closer to keeping pregnant mothers from homelessness. Join us with a onetime gift, monthly, bimonthly, quarterly, or semiannual basis.

As you know, unexpected pregnant mothers in our community go without proper food, shelter, and essential medical care every day due to a variety of factors including low wages, job loss, injuries, illness, age, domestic violence, or divorce. While all of us are susceptible to hard times, children and mothers are at the most risk, and they make up the largest number of population we serve.

With the generous support of people like you, we will be able to help many of these mothers, to work toward a brighter future with programs in job training, education, counseling, and housing.

For more information on how your donation will help to make a difference in the lives of young mothers in our community, we invite you to visit our website at www.houseofestherflint.org. You can also find information there on our upcoming events for this year and volunteer opportunities.

Thank you again and we look forward to your continued support,

Yvonne Penton,
Executive Director

Adopt-a-Room Sponsorship Program

The House of Esther is now offering opportunities to sponsor individual rooms within the resident as part of our "Adopt-a-Room" program. Each room will be carefully named with your organization's name plaques that include both the room name and the "tag" line.
By sponsoring room, you are making a clear statement to the community and to our moms that you are personally committed to providing for pregnant mothers and children experiencing homelessness.

Homelessness has a devastating effect on families. The more a family can experience normality while living at The House of Esther, the less traumatic their time of homelessness will be.

Thank you for your support and the lives you will touch.
