SAVE Gaming Under the Influence!

GAMING UNDER THE INFLUENCE(GUI) is the show you always wanted. 3 contestants go cage-match style in video games and beer while it all streams live online. It's basically a cooler (and more adult) version of the game shows we grew up watching. Not only is it free to watch online, but anyone who attends the show (we're in Chicago) gets to drink and game for free! It's a win-win all around. 

GAMING UNDER THE INFLUENCE will always be more than just a show for us. For me, the thing that makes me happiest about hosting GUI every Friday is the overwhelmingly positive feedback we get from everyone who visits and experiences our show. People come with their friends to share smiles and beers and head-to-head mario kart battles. We want to keep giving chicago’s gamers a free place to come, hang out, and have fun with us every Friday night.


THE STORY

Since we started this journey 4 years ago, we've put every single dollar we've ever had into making GUI. From bar to bar we took an idea from my 300 sqft apartment and turned it into a 1200 sqft custom GUI studio that we broadcast from every week! It's something that in just 3 months, we built, painted, routed, designed, and made home to our very own studio just so we can create a show to enjoy with all the gamers of chicagoland and beyond.
 


I've never been a fan of asking the same people I want to enjoy GUI, to pitch in for money. But operating a livestreaming show that pushes the boundaries of content and creates an atmosphere like no other...is expensive. From streaming costs, inventory costs, production costs, keeping our audience happy, plus countless other expenses, it takes a lot to keep it up and running.  And as we're only 13 shows in, we're just starting to get up to speed with revenue.  At the current rate of funding, we will be out of cash within 40 days.

AKA, no show. No studio. Nadda.

We humbly ask everyone to consider what GUI could mean for all of us, not just my team. It allows for so many new doors to open and new shows to be born.  A platform for startup companies to showcase their products.  The prime location for your next event. It even expands the horizons of what gaming and livestreaming even means!  

So we kindly ask that you please consider. This isn't a donation in hopes that we make it happen, it's a promise that we will continue to make a kickass show that everyone gets to enjoy!
