Kent , was diagnosed with a progressive brain disease, known broadly as white matter disease, on April 1, 2016. (please see "Who is Kent?" below)

8 months ago, Kent experienced miraclulous physical healing! He has been able to walk with a leg brace and cane, and he spends more time awake and playing with our youngest daughter. 

Part of his disease presents like dementia. Sometimes he knows us. Other times, he forgets His family . This is devastating. His disease also involves moments of outbursts, also known as “dementia episodes.” During these events, he is unable to see reality. 

As a result, his relationships have suffered horribly. As his family, we continue to stand by him, no matter what. But it is often an extreme hardship for Sarah and the children.  

Their bills are continuing to mount, as Kent is unable to bring in an income now, and the costs of his diagnostic testing, emergency room treatments, and hopitalizations have depleted them, financially.

They run a small skin care business out of their family farm in Frazier Park. The modest funds they make from this are used to support their counseling ministry. They have hired a home caretaker to help them get through the day, making sure their children are fed and home clean, as well as providing Kent with the one-on-one attention he so desperately needs.

They have always relied on God to provide for them during hard times, and they know He will keep their spirits in good health. But they now need to ask their community for help in getting through this impossibly difficult time.

Kent is Sarah's best friend and she can't imagine life without him by her side. Their children adore him and are heavy with grief. Kent has helped so many people and They hope that they can give people a way to help him now.

Who is Kent Robbins?

Kent is a retired trauma surgeon/ M.D. who dedicated his life to serving God's people. After his son was born with severe disabilities in 2000, he resigned from the medical field in order to care for him. He worked as a College and University Professor, training the next generation of doctors and nurses for many years.

One day, God called him into full-time ministry. He left his tenured faculty position and financially secure future in order to answer God's call to ministry. Kent and Sarah have been counseling couples who struggle with additions, pornography, and other severe marital issues for over five years. They have provided all services free of cost. All proceeds from their small organic skin care company allow them to offer this important ministry for free. Sarah and Kent are in their fourth year of studies at Fuller Theological Seminary and have been working towards their Master's degrees in Theology and Ministry (Sarah) and MDiv (Kent). Kent is not able to continue his studies due to this illness, but that does not stop him from dedicating every possible moment of his day to caring for God's hurting people. His current ministry focuses on the goodness of God through suffering, and he delivers this message through youtube videos.

Kent and Sarah live on a small farm with their children, dogs, cat, goats, chickens, guinea keets, and duck (who thinks she's a chicken).
