My name is Rachel N Smolenski and I am the Director of the Diaper Fund in Rockport, ME. We provide FREE wipes and diapers to families in "Diaper Need" in Knox, Waldo, and Northern Lincoln Counties. There are no income guidelines; any family can access this wonderful service.
"Diaper Need" is a basic human right. Children have the right to have a clean, safe, and healthy environment to grow and learn in; being properly diapered is essential to successful growth.
Since December we have handed out over 11,000 diapers and over 20,000 wipes to families in "Diaper Need".
We are looking for support in offsetting the unexpected cost of a large quantity of wipes donated to the National Diaper Bank Network Members from Huggies.
We have had such great interest from the community and many, many families in need have accessed this service. Please consider donating to the Diaper Fund's wipe donation shipping and handleing fees.
We continue to be in our growing stages and need your support to become sustainable and "Wipe out Diaper Need".
