Call for support of the University of Khartoum, Sudan after massive pilferage and vindictive vandalization and destruction by vandals and mean forces of evil.
While political tensions in Sudan start to settle, the students and faculty at the University of Khartoum are still suffering, greatly. Total cost of damage estimated at US$135 million.
University is virtually shut down except for a few colleges.
The main objective of this call from Canada is aimed at raising funds to buy replacement for stolen or damaged equipment. NO CASH shall be transferred to Sudan.

To put the effect of the loss to the Sudanese people in perspective:
- The University of Khartoum (U of K) was established by Lord Kitchener in 1902 in memory of General Gordon of Khartoum.
- Became a University College affiliated with Oxford and Cambridge Universities of the UK in 1947.
- Became a full independent university in 1956.
The U of K has:
- 48751 students of which 11399 are graduate students
- 2000 teaching staff
- 6500 admin and support staff
- 33 schools and colleges
- 12 institutes
- 11 Research Centres
- 3 hospitals and one kidney centre
ALL that had a yearly budget of only $25 million in 2018!
Now with the damage, the university is in limbo and may not work full steam in the near future.
