Zachariah Tomaz

Hello,


You may or may not have heard the news that three year old Zachariah Tomaz has recently been diagnosed with Leukaemia.


After the rest of the family began to recover from a virus, it was soon apparent that something was not quite right with Zac. Mum and Dad (Lara and Glaucco) persisted with visits to the doctor. Finally Zac was admitted to hospital, and following a series of tests including a bone marrow biopsy, it was confirmed that he had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL), a form of cancer of the blood.


Zac is currently staying at the Sydney Children's Hospital and has already begun treatment. The family are looking at a 2 year treatment plan ahead for young Zac, beginning with 8 months of intensive chemotherapy and ongoing tests/hospital visits to fight the cancer. 


Whilst hopeful for a full recovery, the journey ahead is not one they or anyone else had imagined. It is going to mean a LOT of change as Glaucco and Lara will be unable to work at their usual capacity whilst they care for Zac (3) and their older son Zion (5). 


The donated funds will all go to the Tomaz Family and help them to pay for things like accomodation costs (as they are required to stay within close proximity of the hospital during Zac’s many treatments), parking and petrol costs, food and all other associated miscellaneous expenses. Most importantly this will help to compensate for loss of income as they care for their son during this difficult season.


I know Lara and Glaucco are so appreciative of all support and prayers during this season.
