Hello Good People.
For 23 years I have been battling Severe Crohn's Disease. I've had three major surgeries that resulted in my losing multiple organs and still the disease continued to spread.
This September (27th), I have to undergo the most complicated, life threatening surgery I've ever had to face.
I have an incredible 8 year old daughter and my husband is a disabled veteran.
In an agonizing effort to not put my daughter through 8+ hours in the waiting area, I would like to book a hotel room for her for two nights. The Wyndham that is 5 blocks from the hospital is typically $530.00 per night.
Because most people use this hotel for the same purpose I would like to, they gave me a rate of $340.00 per night. I had a very lengthy conversation with them and they are calling me back the Monday before my surgery to attempt a better rate and hold the room.
If all goes well, I'll be in the hospital recovering for two weeks. Parking is $10.00 per day.
Because my husband and I are both disabled, we live on an impossible fixed income. After I pay rent, bills and buy food, there is almost nothing left. I don't know how people afford to stay at the hospital that long. So, I'm asking for help.
I tally parking at $140.00 and the room for two nights at $600.00.
If anyone could find it in their heart to help me, I will be endlessly indebted to you. You will be saving my daughter from the hell that will be waiting in the hospital waiting room, the agony that will be wondering if I'll survive and the sheer discomfort of not being able to sleep, eat or distract herself.
If I don't make it, any proceeds from this effort will go to my being cremated and my daughters wishes to put my ashes in a seed pod to grow a tree.
