My Story
Hi, my name is Pamela Angelique Hughes. “The Sound Sanctuary”
is a dome for healing and raising consciousness through frequencies, music and sound healing tools with: harp, voice, Tibetan bowls and tuning forks. I'm a music composer using voice and harp, a sound healer, professional speaker and researcher. My passion for this work spans over 25 years and has culminated in the founding of HarpSong - a "sound sanctuary" for body, mind

HarpSong’s Mission
The intention of HarpSong is to foster inner peace, raise consciousness and personal vibrations, healing, balancing and uplifting mind, body, spirit and the emotions through Sound, Voice Music and Frequencies.
The Situation
I am seeking funding to build a Sound Sanctuary Dome that I plan to use to help people balance and harmonize their inner being which includes people with addiction and other emotional conditions. Sound and vibration affects every part of our being emotionally, physically, spiritually and mentally. I’ve been on the road delivering Sound Therapy Gatherings to very receptive, appreciative audiences everywhere and have received incredibly positive feedback. When people experience the calming effects of Tibetan bowls, harp and voice it directly affects their energy field creating more balance and harmony within them. I begin these sound gatherings with “toning” a form of self -healing using one’s own voice to clear old negative energy patterns within the mind and body. Toning creates a more, receptive, open space to “hear” the sound tools following.
An Urgent Need in our Country
Today, more than ever, our country is experiencing epidemic numbers
as far as addiction and emotional problems such as sexual and physical abuse. Sound therapy is being used in various clinics and centers for addiction and emotional trauma. Today 1 in 10 Americans have a drug abuse problem. Out of 24 million Americans who have used illicit drugs in the preceding month 19.6 million have a substance abuse problem in the preceding year.
Why Sound?
Sound therapy dates back to the beginning of time in many ancient cultures …it works on every level of our being, emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually while also working on the sub-cellular and subconscious level. Sound directly affects the brain and helps to balance it, it stimulates healing in the body, and creates a much needed sense of relaxation. The primary function of sound therapy is using vibrations to create change and healing in the mind and body, thus helping the spirit to heal. The vibrations from sound help to heal the impact of depression, anxiety, and trauma at the cellular level while also stimulating the nerves in the spine, brain stem and the limbic system that drives emotional response, it also activates the auditory nerves that connect to the muscles. Sound therapy greatly aids addiction problems and other emotional conditions.
Why a dome?
*A dome is highly conducive for working with sound.
*A dome offers a unique healing space augmented by sacred geometry in an acoustically perfect environment to focus and amplify energy.
* A dome can reflect and focus a range of frequencies for rejuvenating health and general well-being
*A dome creates a chamber phenomenon in the center of the dome which amplifies everything for the listener in a 360 degree column of Sound…music and vibrational frequencies seem to come from all directions at once.
*Sound in a dome travels in spirals which harmonizes the flow of Chi.
*Sound in a dome has the ability to rejuvenate and empower a person bringing unity consciousness into a group.
