This is my tenth year as a "passionate" artist at WILLETTE'S PRISM #309, "The TIE LADY," at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment. I am the first person from Huntsville, Alabama to show an entire fashion collection during 2019 Paris Fashion Week on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower, the epicenter of fashion! Getting there and being there for a week, September 23 - October 1, is expensive. Airplane tickets, room, meals, and incidentals.
Just as doors were opened for me while I attended ALBANY STATE UNIVERSITY (BA & BS degrees) and HOWARD UNIVERSITY (MFA degree), part of this journey is to establish two STEAM scholarships in the names of pivotal individuals who's encouragement and guidance allowed for my artistic growth, mental expansion, and strength of direction: "Dr. Lois Mailou Jones and Dr. Tritobia Hayes Benjamin STEAM Scholarship" and "Mr. Vernon Williams STEAM Scholarship". These scholarships are to assist students to explore different ways of problem-solving and approaching tools, supplies and critical thinking by cross-pollinating the science and art departments as I was encouraged to do.

I have formed a team of local professional and up-and-coming models and photographers for "The Road To Paris" series of shows/events to aid is this fundraising effort. I am so thankful to have been given this opportunity to further the reach of the passions that are being cultivated here in this arena of creativity. This support would mean an opportunity to highlight a positive aspect, an innovation that is not yet associated with Alabama.
