I am creating this page on behalf of Rickey Ford who is currently in memphis tennesse and wants to better his life.
In 2000 Rickey went to prison for a crime he had committed and was released in 2015. Rickey has paid his debt to society he did the time for the crime but now he is trying to better his life with a dead end at every corner he turns too.
This is the life of a young black man in america a felon who wants to better his life but every time he tries the door closes straight in his face.
So how is Rickey meant to survive if he cant be given a fair chance?
Rickey is a very intelligent man who dreams to one day publish books. In the mean time the only way he can survive is by doing cash in hand jobs doing yard/garden work which is not always guaranteed so there are days Rickey has to go without.
Rickey also is a multiple sclerosis sufferer so each day is different and he is trying to manage the best way he can to survive. Rickey can not afford to go to see a GP or to be prescribed the right medication as he is unable to get himself a job because of the title felon he has hanging over his head for life. But Rickey is keeping the faith and is a firm believer that God is in control and one day a change will come where he can have the chance to be happy with his woman who lives in England and work hard to publish his books to inspire people to bring out their best no matter what
