I would like to raise $500 to give to Kevin Nguyen to do the entire year of photography for The Poetry Room Open Mic events at The Robin Theatre. This would be $50 an event for 9 months. The other $50 will hopefully cover the fee taken by GoFundMe.
The truth has been, I have been picking up the tab for anything extra when it comes to The Poetry Room and asking people for favors. I am pretty deep in the red but that is a personal choice. Grace and I never took a dollar home from our events from The Robin Theatre and I can personally say that every dollar I made from an outside gig went straight into efforts on expanding The Poetry Room.
There should be a point where I feel as we can compensate Kevin for his work & time. So, I told him that I would like to start paying him for this work. If I am unable to raise this money, we will either not have photos or I may look for someone else to do them.
