The Paine's Fight Hydronephrosis

Donation protected
The Paine's, Alison and Scott, have been dear friends to me and many of others for many years. They married in 2011 and are in the process of welcoming their first child into the world, Connor.  He is expected in January 2017.

They received unfortunate news that their son, who is 35 weeks along, as of right now has been diagnosed with Severe Prenatal Bilateral Hydronephrosis . Hydronephrosis is a kidney disorder which causes retention of bodily fluids. Connor is stable as of his last check-up, but Scott and Alison will be required to travel from their hometown in Dayton, Nevada to Lucile Packard Children's Hospital (Stanford) in California for his birth.

They will be required to stay in a hotel in that area for possibly 30 days, pay out of pocket for fuel, food, and other expenses. They also face horrendous medical bills with an early estimate of nearly $20,000 in out of pocket expenses for Connor to be born at this hospital. In addition, their company benefits will only cover their wages for approximately two weeks while they are in California. This temporary relocation isolates them from many resources they have at home.

Because Scott and Alison actually have jobs and are hard-working, full-time employees for their respective companies; they are not eligible for government assistance or other monetary assistance.

Scott and Alison are too stubborn to ask anyone for much-needed assistance. So, I am asking anyone who reads this to donate whatever they can to assist the Paine's with the short-term costs associated with their son being born in an area which they have no resources. Thank you.
