Nectar: An Oasis Experience

imagined in 2016, Oasis is a growing art experience exploring the idea of nature through the lens of urban environments. From brown fields & abandon buildings, to broken liquor bottles and everything in between, the idea is to focus on the marrying of forces at hand vs. the borders surrounding them. Utilizing space, energy and intentional unions, the purpose of Oasis is to create collaborations that are fertile & fruitful for all involved, just as nature intended.

NECTAR, the latest installment, will navigate our relationship with nature's natural sweetener. defined as ‘nourishment of the gods’, flowers & plants produce nectar to attract things to them. Most of us understand nectar as a sweet  gift of flavor & scent, but this substance has multiple layers and like all things plays as a balancing act in our environment. This installation will materialize that balance through visuals, sounds, movements and vibrations, bringing us a better understanding of nature concept of sweetness. Funding will go to materials, compensation of artist involved, printing, travel and housing.
