The Night We Met

The Night We Met is a coming of age drama that I developed from an idea I had about the choices we make. Specifically, the choice of a man at the train station who regretted never speaking to a girl at the annual school dance who may well be the love of his life. There at the station he meets a woman who has run away from her wedding. They meet and discuss in real time the consequences of regret and the memory. 

This film reflect a part of me. In the way I view the world. The story is at a train station because it is where I asked out my first girlfriend. It takes place at a school dance because of a story my grandfather told me about him and my nan. The characters all reflect a part of me. In life we all want to connect with someone, I am no different. This story is about that very feeling.  

This project is the last of our university careers and we want to make it count. The funds raised for this project will go directly onto the casting of the project. We have the actors lined up and ready to go however to get the best out of the script to bring it to life we need the best we can get. Everything else will be fundraised by ourselves. Everything we saved, everything we have will go to make this project the best we can make it. As like the story we do not want to regret this moment, we want a long last memory of this project that we can keep for years to come.  We know the reality and the weight of what we are asking however anything to help, no matter how little will mean the world to us. Even if it's sharing this project, liking our social media posts. You don't know how far that will go to help us.
