The Newest Flower
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Juliese, and I know how it feels to be judged by the color of your skin. Being adopted from China and then, thrown into a new culture was scary for me. There isn't a day that goes by where I am not questioned about being Asian.
When I was in the second grade, I wrote The Newest Flower to show other children that it was okay to just be YOU! My story takes place in a beautiful flower garden where, at first, a unique flower named Calli is not accepted for how she looks.
After I wrote this book, I told my mom that I wanted to publish this book and give all of the money to Holt International: to help other children get forever homes.
We are choosing to self-publish this book because we can earn more money for children who need homes.
Your generous gift, really, is a donation to help other children get forever homes. The book contract has been signed and the estimated date of production is Spring 2017. Will you help me? Thank you for following my story.
