On the weekend of February 10-12, 2017 The Masterful Living 15 Family will build a sustainable community garden that will harvest fruits and vegetables to provide children and their families/guardians in an underserved community with healthy food. We are also committed to planting seeds of gratitude in the belief system of children by coming together with community leaders to spread and share love, joy, acceptance and unity through creative and interactive education, and by providing educational scholarships to ensure their success for the future.

Team Vision: We, The Masterful Living 15 Fort Lauderdale, are committed to creating a unified world that is loving, peaceful, equal, and abundant.

This project is a tangible method for us to implement our vision for the world NOW. This project is important to our team because we believe that we have the opportunity to exemplify how a small number of people can have a large impact on the world. We have chosen the domain children. We want to be in service to children because we believe we are helping them today, and shifting the future. Within the domain children, we have also chosen to work specifically with homeless children, foster children, children within the LGBT community and the children affiliated with Kids in Distress.

   I.          DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

A.     Day 1: February 10, 2017

1.     On February 10, 2017 we will prepare for our build and celebratory day. We will transport all of the build supplies to the build site. We will send reminder emails to all attendees, sponsors, etc. We will finalize Feb 11-12 agendas. We will also do a walkthrough of the project location, and take all other precautions to ensure project success.

B.     Day 2: February 11, 2017

1.     On February 11, 2017 children that are affiliated with the nonprofit Kids in Distress will be transported to the garden and assist The ML 15 family in building the garden.

C.    Day 3: February 12, 2017

1.     On February 12, 2017 we will celebrate the children and their completed garden by uniting community leaders to the  garden. We will set up different “stations” the children will get to visit and experience during the event. We will have five stations: (1) Yellow, (2) Deep Pink, (3) Orange, (4) Green and (5) Turquoise. Each station will be an interactive learning experience.

We will be building the garden at Together We Stand in Hollywood Fl:

Together We Stand is demonstrating that there is a multitude of ways to develop sustainable living environments for our community. This will not be a traditional community garden, we are exploring areas as aquaponics, hydroponics, urban gardening, urban farming, holistic herbs and medicine.
