The Lucky Charm Fairfield Storm Recovery Fund

Donation protected
On February 6thTownsville, Queensland experienced a ‘once-in-a-100 year’ flood due to heavy storms in the region. More than a meter of rain engulfed the town, causing the Ross River Dam’s spillway gates to fully open after peaking at 43 meters. The dam was recorded to be over 200% capacity before bursting.

The already overwhelmed low-lying Townsville suburbs were hit with approximately 2,000 cubic meters of water from the dam bursting. Causing mass evacuations and damage to thousands of properties. Amongst the damaged property was The Lucky Charm Fairfield store, owned by locals Morris and Annette Peluchetti.

Their property damages exceed $200,000, with their entire store completely destroyed and all stock lost due to the large-scale storm. So, we at The Lucky Charm are encouraging anyone who can offer any support, large or small to Morris and Annette would be much appreciated.

In order to assist our friends Morris and Annette we have created a GoFundMe page with a goal of $50,000 to help them get back on their feet in this difficult time.
