The Kidney Project

Kidney transplants are becoming more and more common to this day. Today, over 80,000 people are on the waiting list for a transplant, and nearly all of those people wait for more than five years. The waiting list has doubled in the past ten years, and it continues to grow. Kidney failure has become a major problem globally and finally I can see the light to where this problem may end.
The Kidney Project, based in San Francisco California, has come up with a device that replaces dialysis altogether. This is a huge improvement in the medical industry. Dialysis technology has not changed in over 50 years and is a pain to go get treatment each day. This new device would be surgically implanted where your kidney goes if it were to fail. The so-called ‘Bionic Kidney,’ will act as a real kidney and will not go into rejection.
Kidney failure has touched the hearts of many families, including my own. I’m happy to see that research has been made and that this has been accomplished. I can now see that my family and many others might get through this. Please help The Kidney Project to reach their goal by donating. This new technology could be the forefront to new cures and could potentially help many families recover from this awful disease.
