We’d like your help to make our Spring 2018 tour as affordable as possible – but still in nice warm dry venues!
Many of the spaces we perform in are free of charge – usually pubs with generous managers, where bringing in a good crowd will help their takings – and the space is often a corner of the garden. But, at this time of year, gardens aren’t very hospitable places to spend an evening! So, on this tour we’re performing in some lovely village halls and historic buildings but they come at a price, which is fair enough - there are bills to be paid, and often restoration to consider.
We want to keep our ticket prices as low as possible – never more than £10 (or £8 for concessions) and, for as many shows as possible, Pay What You Can (donation).
If we could have your help to pay the hire fees for the venues who are charging us, that would make a huge contribution towards breaking even on the tour. We have no additional grant funding at the moment so we really need your help.
We need to pay a fee for six of the venues we are visiting – they range from village halls to historic buildings via community centres.
The total charges for the six venues are £493.00
And the reward? Every pound donated will get one entry in a draw for:
Draw One: A badge (value £5) when we reach £150
Draw Two: A book (value £7.50) when we reach £300
Draw Three: A mug (value £8.00) if we hit the target!
And if we should be fortunate enough to exceed that, the extra will go towards venue hire for our Summer tour on the Leeds & Liverpool canal which starts in June.
