The Huynh Family, Hurricane Harvey

I am the daughter of Dung Huynh, and neice of Tri Huynh, and it has been heart breaking, the devastation that has hit Houston due to Hurricane Harvey. Unfortunately, today is only day 2, and the storm is expected to get immensely worse until Wednesday, and my family have seen all of the disasters first hand. Our family lives in the South East side of Houston, on Dixie Farm and 45 South.

As of this morning on 8/27/17, the house has completely flooded in, and the water has passed all of the tables and beds. We do not know the current situation of the house, as my family has had to evacuate to safety, however we do know that it will cost a whole lot more than we could ever fathom.

I know my family has worked so hard to save what little they have towards retirement, and just the thought of using all that they have to rebuild their lives is just heart breaking.

They do not have flood insurance, and all 4 cars are totaled, and we need the funds to rebuild the home if we are unable to savage it. 

I am just heart broken by what has happen not only to my family, but to Houston.

I am asking for your help, and any small or large donation would really help us. We would really appreciate it if any of you could find it in your heart to help us rebuild from here.

(Update: Demolition is starting today on 8/31/17. Things are getting very challenging, but definitely trying to pull through. We finished ripping all of the flooded walls and flooring, now we are starting with insulation, new flooring, plumbing fixes, light fictures, and all essential items for the house. It's been a pretty aggressive past few days full of hard labor, but thank you for all of the continuous support in the process.)
