The Hope House of Ellwood City

As many of you may be aware, Western PA is facing a homelessness crisis. In our tri-county area of Butler, Beaver, and Lawrence counties, there are currently no shelters that will allow a family to stay together. Men must be separated from women and children, and if no mother is in the picture, a father's children are placed with CYS while the father is sent to a men's shelter.

When facing a family crisis such as a job loss, death of the bread winner, and immenent homelessness, The Hope House is a multi-family shelter opening in Ellwood City that will allow the family unit to remain intact, facing this difficult time in life together. The shelter will also provide case management to help families connect with the resources needed to help them re-gain independent living.

The  money you give will be tax deductible and a receipt can be sent to you at an address you provide. Your funds will go to household furniture/furnishings, utility bills, and repairs necessary to make the home usable for as many families as possible.
