The Hardin Assistance Fund

Several weeks ago Dave Hardin visited the hospital for extreme back discomfort and in a matter of 3-4 days ended up in Intensive Care on a ventilator and getting dialysis regularly.
As it turns out Dave had a blood infection that started attacking his body at a vigorous pace. The infection quickly moved into his bones in several places. His first few operations started with draining the infection from both hands and elbows, but then he had a portion of his clavicle and his first rib removed. A few days later the infection had settled in the lumbar area of his spine. This resulted in a very extensive back fusion procedure where he was operated from the front and back. Since that procedure he has suffered a mild heart attack and most recently went into surgery for some internal bleeding in his small intestine.
The Hardin's are taking this experience one day at a time and obviously hoping for the best outcome possible. When he finally does get out of the hospital, it will be a very long road to recovery.
I started the Hardin Assistance fund for two reasons: first and foremost to help the family avoid financial disaster. As most of you know Dave operated his own business that not only supported his immediate family but also three other families (two of those being his sons). I know they are doing their best to continue moving forward but the income stream has been drastically changed with Dave out of commission.
Secondly, this fund will be used to help the Hardin's pay for the numerous medical bills that are continuing to pile up.
Dave and Stacey Hardin are very giving people that have always supported those in their time of need. Now it's our turn to show how much we care and support them.
