This is the final push to open the Fringe Coffee House!! We have received the sign off from the City of Hamilton on our plans thanks to Mike Dingledein and the folks at CDA ! The was one of the last big hurdles we had to overcome to get our doors open. Here's the final list (thought we could never say that) of what's left to complete and do before we can open our doors.

According to the contractors, there's only a week or two of left of work!!

-Install new outlets for coffee equipment, add additional required lighting in food areas, change ceiling tiles
over food area to kitchen tiles.

-Purchase and install under the counter refrigerator/prep station and freezer

-Install plumbing for all machines, install mop sinks, sinks etc (labor has been donated, just materials)

What is the Fringe Coffee House?

The Fringe Coffee House is a new Espresso/Juice Bar serving light food with live entertainment opening in Hamilton, Ohio in early 2019. There's a unique aspect to this coffeshop, all of our employees will be ex-felons returning to society after time in prison. Every Tuesday we run a faith-based music therapy program in the men and women's prisons. This program has had a dramatic positive effect on those participating. But one thing was missing, The Fringe Coffee House. One of the biggest challenges for those released is gainful employment.

What would it look like to create a business that wasn't just driven by profit but that profited others? What would it look like to give those a chance that everyone else had given up on? After years of prison and re-entry work, we have seen first hand what works and what doesn't.

This fundraising campaign is to finish the last 10% of work and equipment purchases. We have already completely over 90% of the building restoration, purchased all the furniture and more. There's a few small areas, including the kitchen we need to finish to complete the project and open the business.

We believe these lives are worth saving, and that restoration and redemption is available to anyone, anywhere all the time. Why? Because we too, have been on the other side of that fence and have seen God restore our lives. Would you join us in restoring this building and at the same time restoring lives? This venture not only affects those previously incarcerated, but their kids, their families and our communities. The ripple effects of one life being transformed is astounding. Thank you for your support and the belief that maybe... just maybe hope is greater than despair and resurrection is still possible for those we serve.
