There are young mothers in the Greater Sudbury area that need your help. Did you know that a baby can require approximately 10 diapers a day?! That’s approximately 3650 diapers a year! With increasing living expenses such as heat, hydro, rent, food etc, many women in our area struggle to keep their babies bottoms dry.
This initiative has been started to collect and raise money to purchase diapers. We are starting with a goal of $1500. These Diapers will be donated to the Sudbury Women's Centre and the Better Beginnings, Better Futures baby’s breath program and distributed to the women in our community that need our help.
Our goal is to get these diapers collected, purchased and distributed by Christmas.

About the Baby’s Breath Program at Better Beginnings, Better Futures
The program provides a safe, confidential and social environment. Through the program, teen mothers have the opportunity to meet other teen mothers and have access to a peer and organizational support system. It provides a prenatal curriculum based approach, discussion groups, special guest speakers, parenting workshops and courses to help identify challenges pregnant and parenting teenagers and their partners face, increase their knowledge of child growth and development, access to parenting resources, and community resources
About The Sudbury Women's Centre
The SWC is a charitable organization dedicated to serving the needs of women in the Greater Sudbury seeking service in a broad range of areas.
The SWC's mandate and mission promotes women's status and well-being by offering key tools and resources that assist women in addressing issues of systematic discrimination and violence.
