Seeing the need and opportunity for new content from an overlooked place founder and CEO Toi Cook realized his talents on and off the field could be used to create, develop and produce digital documentaries from some of America’s most influential colleges and universities archives. These documentaries will be designed for the purpose of creating informative, educational and acknowledgment of all the work the colleges and universities do on and off campus as well as the work their alumni do, work that has go unnoticed. As a result in 2018 Toi created The Cardinal Media Group (TCMG).
Overview
"Out of the Archives" a series of Documentaries about the Alumni, students, colleges, and universities who have taken their foundation and made great strides to the human experience, individual’s achievements and what it takes to succeed. Every journey has its difficulties and challenges. These individuals strive each day to meet personal goals. Many owe their foundation to the colleges and universities they attended as young men AND women.
Many of these individuals during their career are focused on making a change in their communities whether it be business, medicine, law or politics. Many athletes and professionals have gone on to open businesses in their childhood communities and hire individuals from the neighborhood in addition to donating to local charities, all as part of bringing it back to where it all began. Others have fallen on difficult times and have been faced with struggles that were not expected such as addiction, cancer, depression, injuries or failed marriages. Yet many have persevered through these struggles. We would like to showcase these difficult topics and the support from the professionals, the organizations, the friends and family that these alumni received that helped guild these individuals back. HOW DID THEY DO IT???
TCMG is focused on just that… bringing these stories to life in a visual presentation. Showcasing where it all started and how behind it all they achieved goals when the odds were against them or policies did not make it easy. There are so many examples of great achievements that never make it beyond the family and friends circle of acknowledgment.
We at TCMG would like to change that… with our understanding of production and post-production, we are eager to raise 10M in funding that will help launch several stories out of the archives providing an educational and informative platform for the masses to view and share. Our hopes are that with your help we can bring attention to these topics and individuals while providing information about success and change. Our goal is to showcase the road back and the organizations that assisted with mental health, medical treatments or policy of change.
No athlete, doctor or business professional gets to the finish line on their own, it takes a village of support and ongoing commitment to succeed. On many occasions on the path to success, it has been stated that our protagonists do feel alone or forgotten when within those moments of ongoing struggles. Experiences are what shape our lives and it provides a road to success and achievement.
We at The Cardinal Media Group will capture it, produce it, and distribute it across multiple platforms.
ABOUT Founder/CEO
The Cardinal Media Group – Toi Cook – Stanford University Hall of Fame member in both baseball and football. Toi Cook was also a 1987 College World Series winner and an XXIX Super Bowl winner with 11 years in the NFL. Throughout his athletic career, Toi Cook pursued his interest in entertainment as Executive Producer of four compilation albums for the NFL:
NFL Jams I,
NFL Jams II,
NFL Country I and,
NFL Country II.
Associate Producer on Walking on Dead Fish
Toi Cook was one of the first hires at Broadband Sports AthletesDirect.com, creator of LegendsDirect.com, and the co-founder of The Gersh Agency Sports which was the first ever sports agency to partner with a traditional and the second oldest agency in Hollywood with offices in NY and LA.
CAA Sports launched two weeks later.
