the blue school project -- real-time safety PROactions for SWVa schools and beyond
As a public health professional and parent heartbroken by the most recent school shooting, this is a nonpartisan effort to actually DO something to improve the safety of our schools in real time. Please join me if you, too, are compelled to do more beyond rallies, marches and writing to a deaf and mute Congress. Though the blue school project is multi-faceted, the funds raised will be specifically used to purchase safety items for schools, including:
- Window Safety & Security Film ** for older buildings
- Classroom door safety systems
- Advanced bleeding control kits ** for classroom and bleeding control training for teachers beyond basic first aid (at school discretion).
This is a grassroots, pilot program out of the Roanoke, Virginia area, and is intended to launch locally. Should the funding goals be exceeded in any way, an application process for schools will be announced.
