The Big Jump for Breast Cancer
Donation protected
We are a mother (Kay) and daughter (Lizzie) doing a skydive to raise money for the Breast Care Unit in Burton-on-Trent.
Over a few drinks one night, we were discussing things we would like to do in 2019 and doing a skydive for charity was one of the things that topped the list! So here we go, it is booked and we will be throwing ourselves (and our inhibitions!) out of an airplane for a great cause! Please share, support and donate to give us that extra push out the door and hopefully our moment of craziness will help provide extra support for the Breast Care Unit.
We would like to donate any money raised to the Breast Care Unit in Burton-on-Trent as this is very close to our hearts. My mum, Kay, works as a clinical nurse specialist in this unit providing support and care to patients struggling with their diagnosis of breast cancer. Working alongside an amazing team, who endeavour to provide an excellent service of care to make the difficult time of being diagnosed with breast cancer a little easier for the patients and their families.
Although we were already fully aware of the fantastic work that the Breast Care Unit provides, in April 2018 the tables were turned and my mum was on the receiving end of the care and support that they provide when she diagnosed with breast cancer. To say the support given to both my mum and our family as outstanding would be an understatement. Their compassion, positivity and smiling faces helped my mum's battle against cancer more than words can say.
My mum has now been given the all clear so she really has no excuses for taking this leap of faith!
Again, please share, support and donate! We will be taking the big jump on June 1st 2019, and would like to try to raise £1000 to donate to the Breast Care Unit in Burton-on-Trent.
Thank you for your support and wish us luck!
