The Big Dave Hugs America Tour

Last year’s Big Dave Hugs America Tour was a rousing success because -just through an embrace - tens of thousands of people from all over the planet were left smiling. 


But, one thing kept occurring throughout my 48 state tour - Alaskans kept asking; When are you coming to my state??


I felt bad not having an answer so I began telling people “before 2019” and am proud to say that I’m honoring my word by flying to Alaska tomorrow and staging hug/high5 events in 6 different cities. 


Getting to Alaska is special for me because it will mean in I have visited all 50 states in addition to 37 countries in the 17 years since my friend was killed in the World Trade Centers.


But, this step in my journey is also significant for you because it demonstrates just how far one act of kindness can take you and I believe that we all need to see that right now. 


On the map below - every point represents either where I have been or where someone has heard of my story and reached out to me. 


So, in essence, it is a map of where a hug and high5 can take you in life and it is pretty far- so keep dreaming of how to better the world and keep trying to actualize those dreams.


Here’s to the next quarter of a million people that I hug and join me by hugging someone yourself.
