The Ari Harper Price Fund

Today we are sharing Ari Harper Price's story, she has been Diagnosed with Trisomy 13. For those who aren't familiar with Trisomy 13, it occurs in about 1 in 10,000 newborns and is a chromosomal condition associated with severe disability and physical abnormalities in many parts of the body.

More than 90% of children with Trisomy 13 die within their first year. The median life expectancy is 8.5 days. Brandon, Lisa and Chase have all the hope in the world that they will be able to meet Ms. Ari Harper and spend as much time as possible with her.

It is all in God's hands.

As their friends, we know there is an outpouring of support and love coming their way and many people would like to help but don't know how. Lisa and Brandon have asked for continued prayers. While this is the best thing they could ask for, many have expressed the desire to do more as well.

We have started this Go Fund Me Account as a resource for loved ones of this beautiful family to offer support in other ways. Lisa is a dance teacher and does not receive maternity leave coverage. She will be taking necessary time off to heal her body and to be with her family after Ari is born. Given the uncertainty of Ari's life expectancy and extent of care, Lisa's length of leave is undetermined at this time. While they have best prepared financially by working overtime and banking hours from previous payrolls, we would like to help alleviate some of the possible financial burdens caused by inevitable medical and day to day living expenses. Money raised would be a financial buffer as Lisa and Brandon take the time they need to adjust to their new normal, allowing them time to heal, grieve and be together.
