MIRACLES FOR MOM vs. Stage IV Cancer

Donation protected
Hello everyone,

For most of her life, my mother selflessly devoted her life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse at a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, over the past few months, she has become the patient in need of much care and compassion.

In March 2017, after months of pain and seemingly endless uncertainty from physicians, my mother had MRI's/CT's that finally provided an explanation.  The scans revealed a massive tumor on one of her ovaries and had to undergo emergency surgery two days later to remove the tumor and all reproductive organs. My mother was diagnosed with Stage III ovarian cancer at the age of 60 (which is characteristically young for this type of cancer).

A  week or so after surgery, she began her 6 cycles of chemotherapy. (One day a week for 18 weeks straight)

Two weeks ago just as she was about to begin what was supposed to be her last round of chemo, we received the gut wrenching news that her recent tests showed that the cancer has metastasized and there  are new tumors that have spread to her outer lung and abdomen. As a result of the tumors, a lot of fluid was being retained and the doctors  suggested an immediate chest tube catheter, which has to be drained by a visiting nurse every other day.
