David's Cancer Treatment & Surgery

I am asking for your help for my sweet little nephew David who was diagnosed with an aggressive rare brain cancer (Brain Stem Glioma) in early January, just a few short weeks after turning 8.  The tumor is interwoven around his brain stem making surgery very risky yet necessary.  Doctors have said they only see four cases like this each year.

My brother Gabe and sister-in-law Elizabeth discovered some time ago that David developed irregular sleeping patterns where he stopped breathing at times and developed other physical signs leading to numerous tests and doctors appointments.  Time is now of the essence and David needs immediate treatment and surgery.   As doctors at different hosptials confer with one another, they are working quickly to determine how to proceed.  If surgery is possible, they want to go with the best which will require out of pocket expenses that insurance won't be able to cover, especially if the best is out of their insurance coverage.   Surgery alone will be a minimum $60,000 and requires David to also have several months of treatment and rehabilitation thereafter.

 My sister-in-law Elizabeth has already stopped working and won't be returning for some time. My brother works, but has had to take time off to go to many appointments.  They also have a ten year old daughter Natalie who is trying to maintain a regular school routine.  The kids know everything as Gabe and Liz explained things to them, yet they all maintain a sense of peace and know that God will heal him. 

I'm desperately asking for your help to raise the needed funds to make treatment and surgery possible for David.  The money will support surgery, medical expenses, treatment, and other related expenses for the family.  They need to act fast, so I am trusting in God to help us reach this financial goal soon.
