Carlos Alvarez's Operations

Hello charitable friends,
The boy pictured above is Carlos Alvarez. He is 11 years old and has grown up in Venezuela. Since he was diagnosed with Ganglioneuroblastoma, a rare form of cancer that is almost never found in children over the age of two, his doctors have found numerous tumor growths in his ganglia. He has been operated on five times in his young life.
Last October, through a Venezuelan children’s charity, Fundación de Amigos de Niños con Cancer,Carlos was given the opportunity to go to Disney World. While he was in the United States, Carlos was blessed to have had the opportunity to see a Doctor from Baptist Hospital. Carlos’ tumor is growing every day and he desperately needs an operation involving several medical specialties, requiring a donation of $25,000.
Without the operation, Carlos could lose speech and auditory abilities. While Carlos is receiving the help of another charitable foundation that has joined in on our efforts for him to operated at the Baptist Hospital in Miami Florida we still desperately need your help raising these funds. With your help, our goal is that Carlos will be have the surgery and be able to go back to being a kid: going to school, playing with his friends and siblings and enjoying other of life’s simple pleasures that we take for granted every day.
