Vero's Tennis Tournaments in the US

I am raising funds to help my little sister make her dreams come true. Our country (Venezuela) is going through its worst economic crisis ever. The government has an exchange control and regular individuals cannot have access to foreign currencies. To make things worst airlines do not sell air tickets in our country's currency so if someone wants to travel they need to pay in USD from an USD dollars or any other international currency account which only privileged people have. All this situation makes my little sister aspirations as a tennis player very difficult to be completed.
This summer she has been invited to a 6-week tennis camp in the US (Houston-Texas). Once she is there she will be participating in the following tournaments:
August 5-6, Bay Area Racquet Club Summer Junior Open, Houston, TX.
August 12-13, Metroplex Junior Championship, Dallas, TX.
August 19-20, Giammalva RC Junior Open Tournament, Spring (Houston), TX.
August 25-27, Lost Creek Summer Junior Open, Austin, TX.
September 2-4, Giammalva RC Labor Day Junior Open Tournament, Spring (Houston), TX.
September 5-10, Aggies Tennis Camp, College Station, TX.
I am basically raising money to pay for her ticket and cover her travel expenses. She needs to get a flight from Caracas-Venezuela to Houston-Texas (USA) during the first days of August and return by mid-September. As I have stated earlier there is no way for us to get her tickets in our currency so I am looking to buy her tickets as soon as we can.
Verónica is 15 years old. She is number 10 in the female 18-years ranking of the Venezuelan Tennis Federation (FTV). Also, she is number 2 in her state (Zulia) and number 4 in her region. You can check this out at

I have asked her three questions which resume her aspirations in life as a tennis player and why going to this camp is so important for her.
Why do you want to go the camp and compete in the tournaments?
"I need to live the experience of playing in an international field in which I could play with and against very good players. This 6-week experience would allow me to evaluate my general abilities. I would be able to learn new techniques and tactics that will upgrade my tennis playing as a professional player. I will really like to be involved in a US tennis experience (especially in Texas) since I will love to have the opportunity to complete my university degree over there. I see myself studying Sports Science at Sam Houston State University and being part of their tennis team. Aside from all this I would really like to improve my English skills through this experience"
What are your motivations?
"I have three big motivations:
1. Be a professional tennis player and compete in the WTA .
2. Be a recognised sports scientist and become a specialist on planning, preparation and rehabilitation in sports (especially in Tennis).
3. Speak English properly (perfectly I would say).
All of these elements of my life project which would allow me to play professional tennis, develop and participate in the massification of this beautiful sport in my country through technical and scientific knowledge once I get my sports related degree and of course be a role model for future generations in my country"
How do I see myself in the future?
Short Term: Finishing my education, training and competing in international tournaments representing my country in the FED-CUP and the Olympic cycle.
Medium Term: Being part of the tennis team at the Sam Houston State University. Studying my career and graduating as a Sports Scientist.
Long Term: Training new tennis generations in my country. Being part of the Venezuelan tennis massification. Planning and developing actions to find new talents and developing people in this beautiful sport"

Como mucha gente sabe Venezuela está pasando por una crisis económica sin precedentes que le hace imposible a los individuos acceder a monedas extranjeras debido a un control de cambio implantado por el gobierno hace muchos años. ¿Para qué quieres asistir a estos torneos y al campamento?
Necesito vivir la experiencia de jugar una gira internacional, en donde compita con jugadoras de niveles intermedios y superiores al mío, que me permitan evaluar mi desempeño general durante 5 semanas consecutivas de torneos, aprender nuevas tácticas y técnicas de juego que complementen mi formación tenística de alto rendimiento, ejercitar mi constancia y disciplina personal; conocer, convivir y relacionarme con el medio tenístico texano, en el cual proyecto estudiar mi ciclo universitario para obtener la licenciatura en Ciencias de Entrenamiento Atlético en la Sam Houston State University y formar parte de su equipo de tenis; poner en práctica mis conocimientos de inglés.
¿Cuáles son tus motivaciones?
Tengo como objetivo tres metas principales de igual importancia: a) Ser tenista profesional y competir en el circuito WTA. b) Ser profesional de la salud deportiva y convertirme en una especialista en planificación, preparación y rehabilitación física vinculada al deporte, c) Dominar a la perfección el idioma inglés. Las tres son los elementos de mi proyecto de vida que me permitirá representar a mi país olímpicamente; desarrollar y participar en la masificación de esta bella disciplina deportiva a la cual amo, a través del aporte de conocimientos científicos y técnicos; servir de ejemplo positivo a seguir para las futuras generaciones; ayudar a mis padres y hermanos, principales soportes de mi vida familiar y tenística.
¿Cómo te ves a futuro?
Corto plazo: Finalizando mi educación media, entrenando y jugando profesionalmente, representando a mi país en la FED-CUP y en juegos del ciclo olímpico.
Mediano plazo: Integrando al equipo de tenis de la Sam Houston State University; estudiando mi carrera universitaria para graduarme como Licenciada en Entrenamiento Atlético.
