Hello everyone, my name is Motunrayo.
I recently completed my degree in business management and IT from a subsidiary of Plymouth University.
With my degree I hope to break into the tech industry. I've been applying for technology grad schemes and made it through the final rounds. I hope to eventually branch into cyber security and architecture.
Due to my certain circumstances I wasn't entitled to student finance, however, I did not allow it to deter me. I started a 2 years accelerated degree which costs £16,000. Through working and some support I was able to raise £6,000 towards my tuition however due to the workload at uni and the pressure from work I had to stop working and could no longer fund myself.
I'm due to graduate with a 2:1 in April 2017 however that seems unlikely as My uni has given me 10 days to pay the rest of the £10,000. I was told unless I pay the money I will not be graduating nor will I receive my certificate.
I am working on setting up a repayment plan once I'm fully employed however without proof of my degree getting a job that pays enough to make a difference will be very hard.
I've worked so hard to achieve a 2:1, I feel so close to the end goal and with the support of friends, family and you I believe I can come out on top and make it happen.
