Teri Gant Memorial Fund

So many have asked how they can help or support our family, and we are truly humbled and grateful. Our family is in need of donations that can assist financially, as Teri, our beloved mother, grandmother, and wife, continues her journey in ICU on the ECMO machine, fighting for her life. Teri currently has insurance coverage, however, coverage is limited and expenses are anticipated to be great.

A few days before Christmas, Teri wasn't feeling well. What started out with a cough, quickly turned in to a trip to urgent care that resulted in a diagnosis of bronchitis, that both Marty & Teri had. They were sent home to mend. Early Christmas morning, our Mom, Teri Gant, woke up feeling short of breath. Our dad quickly got ready and drove her to the ER at Willamette Falls Hospital. She was alert and in conversation, walking and talking about how she was feeling. The nurses checked her in and immediately put her on a CPAP machine. After a few hours, her oxygen levels continued to drop and she was struggling to breathe. The Dr's made a decision to intubate her, due to the circumstances. Once she was intubated, again, they thought they had her stabilized, but after 4 hours, her blood pressure dropped. The doctors were at a loss as they had preformed all they could and told us she wasn't going to make it. The doctors contacted Emanuel Hospital, reaching out to the ECMO team to see if Teri qualified for the procedure, and she did.
Doctors came to Marty and said if Teri survives the next few hours, the ECMO team would be arriving to perform there procedure. She survived until they arrived. The procedure was performed and Teri was then transported to Emanuel Hospital where she has been cared for by an Amazing team of doctors and nurses.
