Teresa Vance

On Tuesday, July 17, 2018 Teresa was out running with her husband, Kevin, when she complained of a sharp pain behind her eye. The situation quickly developed and she was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance where it was discovered that she was suffering from a brain arteriovenous malformation (AVM) which is a tangle of abnormal blood vessels connecting arteries and veins in the brain. She immediately went into a 6-hour surgery to reduce the pressure on her brain as well as remove the AVM. After a day of rest, Teresa had a second brain surgery on Thursday, July 19, to finish removing the AVM. 

Teresa is now starting her long road to recovery.
