Support for Scott Bylsma and Family

Our brother, Scott Bylsma, was recently diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrigs disease). This news came only a couple of weeks after being awarded police officer of the year by Grand Rapids Police Department.
Scott and his family have decided to fight against ALS and with your help we believe that he can. We have found that due to the nature of this illness many of the treatments are still expiremental and are either only partially covered by insurance or not covered at all. With that being said, the medical bills for several of these procedures will add up to the thousands.
Scott is currenlty utilizing several treatments prescribed by his doctors that are either not covered by insurance or only partially covered. Just to name a few, he is currently being prescibed Chelation, Major Auto Hemotherapy, Gammagaurd, and several other procedures to slow down the pace of this disease. His doctors have also advised him that he should purchase an oxegen saturation machine as well as an auto hemotherapy machine to utlize in his home. This expense alone is $5000 and his insurance would not pay any of that bill.
Scott is also looking to go out of the country and utilize a medical facilty in Mexico called the Rubio Cancer Clinic. This is a clinic that is well known for winning battles with several auto immune diseases, ALS included. The cost for this treatment could range from $30,000-$40,000.
