Today, we hope you woke up to your normal.
You may have showered, eaten breakfast, had a cup of coffee. You may have fed your kids or your cat or your dog. You may have kissed your wife, husband, partner… or not.
But life chugs along… some days good, some bad days. You woke up to your normal. Our dear, dear friends, Phyllis and Kathy, haven’t had their normal for over a year now.

Last year Phyllis learned that her heart wasn't working the way that it should, so last April she underwent open- heart surgery. Things quickly went from bad to worse.
On July 26, 2016 Phyllis received the ultimate blessing in the form of a donated heart. Both she and Kathy will be forever grateful to this anonymous donor.
Even with this amazing gift, substantial medical challenges persist.
This tough, wickedly funny, loyal and compassionate woman has gone from a home life not much unlike all of ours, to a life in and out of ICUs, back and forth between hospitals and rehab. In total, over a year of not being home, not working, not waking up to her normal.
In spite of all these roadblocks, our resilient, brave friend continues to battle. But now she needs us.
She needs you.
Phyllis’ and Kathy fight is far from over. Mounting medical bills and the loss of income is taking it’s toll.
They do not want to ask for help, so we, their friends, have decided to do it for them.
We will ask for their forgiveness later when Phyllis is well enough to go home again.
