Team Noah

We are Kristina and Rick Knight.  We live in southern Maine and have a three year old son, Richard.  We are expecting our second son, Noah, in September 2016.

At 20 weeks along in Kristina's pregnancy, doctors told us that Noah has hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS) , a rare congenital heart defect. Noah will be born with half of a heart; his left side is severely underdeveloped and not functioning. To survive, Noah will need open heart surgery before he is one week old, at four months old, and again somewhere between age 18 months and 3 years.

We have budgeted to use any donations we receive to help us with current expenses of traveling back and forth to Boston, about 3 months of living expenses in Boston (August - November) since we will be having to live close by to the hospital for that time, and to help us offset some of our medical expenses.

We have a long road ahead of us and we thank you in advance for any support you are able and willing to give.  Whether you are able to donate or not, we ask for your positive thoughts and prayers to help us through this difficult time.
