Mercedes' Medical Fund

Melinda Medina is known throughout Charlotte for her charitable works and her NUMEROUS outreach projects for Charlotte's homeless and orphaned community. You'll rarely see her in the streets helping people in need without her daughters by her side. However, recently her daughter Mercedes (20 years old) was diagnosed with a rare illness (Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura or TTP) that has forced her and Melinda to remain in the hospital for several weeks at this point.  After receiving initial treatment at her local hospital, Mercedes was transferred to a different hospital in another city to be cared for by a provider that specializes in this disorder.

Melinda has refused to leave Mercedes' side during her fight against this illness and though she is silent about it, we know her inability to work has placed a strain on her finances. In addition to our prayers for Mercedes' full recovery, we want to help lift the extra burden and stress that financial hardship brings. We also know that multiple weeks in the hospital is not cheap! This money will be used for medical bills as well as necessities such as rent, food, gas, etc.

Melinda and Mercedes have been such a help in our local community and they always give freely and generously. This is the perfect time for them to reap what they have sown into the lives of so many. We want to rally the community to PRAY and GIVE as we return the love that they give others everday. We are so thankful for all of your help. A little goes a long way! God bless!
