I am establishing an account on behalf of my friends, Marcus & Kristie McCain. They are familiar faces within our community. Marcus is also known to many as, Coach McCain. He coaches our MH 7th grade Football team at Pinkston, MHHS Swim team, and also is the 1st & 2nd grade PE Coach at Nelson Wilkes. Kristie has worked for Dr. Stephen Vester as his Dental Assistant, for several years. They have 2 great children, Levi & McKenna and both are Mountain Home graduates. They are members of First Assembly of God, where Kristie leads the worship service.
In March 2014, Marcus was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy. They have managed this disease process for the last year and are now coping with worsening pain, along with the progression of this terrible disease. This is a terminal illness and Coach McCain is in kidney failure. HOWEVER, the most important thing that he wants you to know about him, is that he serves a MIGHTY God! God has brought him this far and we all have complete faith that He will see them through this storm. There is power in prayer and The McCain family would very much appreciate your prayers as they continue on this journey. Most recently, he has had a port placed and dialysis has become an everyday part of their lives. Coach McCain is continuing to work as much as he can, despite the side effects and odds. You’ll be hard pressed to ever see either of them without a smile on their faces and asking how you’re doing. But as we all know, mounting medical bills happen quickly and monthly bills continue to come.
This family needs our help! Right now, they are dealing with much more than most of us will encounter in our lifetime. Each of us know how hard it is to reach out to others in a time of need. The McCain family are hardworking and proud people, just like you and I. There is not a donation amount that is too small! Every penny matters!
