One Lab, ONE LOVE - Team Maui "Bean"

If you know me, you know I'm not one to ask for help. I'm incredibly stubborn, a problem solver to the end and way to optimistic to admit defeat. Unfortunately, the time has come where I'm forced to wave a white financial flag for a dog who has taught me true selflessness and that even in challenging times we must surrender and ask for others to lend a paw. She's taught me what it means to consistently defy the odds overcoming her recent ACL injury that docs thought needed surgery at the time, while radiating unconditional love. Her soul shines bright and her heart is built on relentless determination. As of late we've journeyed to another obstacle together, one that will require a expensive surgery to remove a 5" mass on her liver. The doctor believes because it is so contained in just one lobe, it is benign but that will be confirmed of course once it is biopsied following the surgery. She has been experiencing fluid filling up her belly making it hard to get comfortable and just do normal dog things.With financial means already exhausted I simply cannot do this alone. It is estimated the surgery, tests and treatment will cost anywhere from 3k-6k in addition to the $2,400 I've already spent on her initial ER visit and treatment. With her spirits high and her health relatively good she needs this surgery ASAP to have a fighting chance. Any and every bit of help you may be able to offer is greatly appreciated. The name of the surgery needed is a liver lobectomy and at almost 9 years of age I'm confident she'll use her admirable Labrador capabilities to pull through and enjoy the full life she is meant to! I will be using this page to continue to post updates, photos, and vet bills associated with this heartfelt request.
