Team Kaine Donations

On January 10th the wait for results was over and our dreaded fears were confirmed. Kaine was diagnosed with Anoplastic Astrocytoma, Grade III. This diagnosis is terminal and Kaine is about to embark on the fight of his life. His wife, Tara is now not only his primary support, their children’s primary care giver and organizer of all things, but is also now the only person generating income in their home. Insurance was purchased but not for critical Illness.
Kaine is about to embark on Chemo & radiation combined therapies on Feb 26th and will endure a 6.5 week duration of 5 days per week treatments and following that, will continue for 6 months of oral chemo treatments. Kaine will be off work for at least 18 months, with no guarantee of returning to his craft of floor-laying upon completion.
With no guarantee of success and the stress of treatment plans, along with unknown reactions and side effects and balancing the family schedules with both Austyn & Nathan in highly competitive sports, the financial burden is both sudden and will be extensive.
